The media plays a major role in shaping popular culture. With this in mind, the Palestinian Cinema Group seeks to radicalize Palestinian population towards liberalization. The Arab cinema has for so long produced images and messages that have no connection to the real lives of Palestinians. It has robbed the public of their conscience when it comes to the real problems in their society. It has become the opium where many people draw their meanings of life. These meanings are not realistic since they do not depict the nature of the Palestinian community.

The cinematic images that dominate Arab Cinema are borrowed images which promote other cultures and depict other societies. For instance, the use of US images which have crippled Arab images. The Palestinian Cinema Group appreciates the efforts that have been made by various Cinema houses to portray the realities of Arabs. However, these efforts have long been undermined by the conservative groups who are against production of new Cinematic contents. Even though attempts have been made, the contents were poorly developed and executed. The cinematic images could be predicted because of their monotonous conventional heritage kind of cinema.

The group questions Palestinian defeat by the Arabs. The Palestinian Cinema Group cites lack of a Palestinian cinematic images that support the resistance, dignity and freedom of the Palestinians. A new form of cinematic publications are therefore necessitated. Palestinian Cinema Group vows to come up with new cinema images that depict the past, present and the future of the Palestinian liberalization. The images will show the real life struggle of liberalization as it is on the ground as well as the process of the struggle.
